Amber Carlson is an accomplished paralegal who possesses over seventeen years of legal experience. With extensive expertise in various aspects of law, including divorce and custody disputes, estate planning, probate, and real estate law, Amber utilizes her deep legal knowledge to provide critical support to Laird Cowley’s attorneys and clients on Family Law matters. She is a valued member of our team and plays a vital role in contributing to the success of our Helena office in support of Partner & Attorney, Sara Berg and Associate Attorney Sarah McClain.

After graduating from high school in Helena in 2003, Amber attended the University of Great Falls (now known as the University of Providence). There, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a Concentration in Forensic Investigations and graduated in 2007. Afterward, she spent several years gaining valuable legal experience at Browning, Kaleczyc, Berry & Hoven, P.C., becoming heavily involved in the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice group.

This extensive background enables Amber to excel in her role as paralegal at Laird Cowley. Each day at our Helena office, she works with skill and devotion to manage complex case files, conduct in-depth legal research, draft precise legal documents, and assist our attorneys with trial proceedings. Her empathetic and understanding nature allows her to connect with clients on a personal level, guiding them through legal processes with care and expertise.

Born in Miles City, Amber’s Montana roots run deep. Outside the office, she remains passionate about community involvement and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Some of her favorite activities include skiing, golfing, and kayaking.
