Operations Director

Laura Tripp is a seasoned professional with more than three decades of experience in accounting, human resources, customer service, and project management. As Operations Director at Laird Cowley, she oversees crucial day-to-day functions and strategic initiatives while continuously fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.

Laura has held numerous leadership positions throughout her career. At Catey Controls, Inc., where she was employed from 1992 to 2008, she held several pivotal positions, including General Manager, Accounting Manager, Secretary, and Treasurer. In 2008, she transitioned to Womack Machine Supply and, for over twelve years, served as the company’s Customer Service Manager. There, she oversaw all accounting operations and managed employees across various departments including customer service, sales, warehouse, and shop.

In 2021, Laura joined Dayspring Restoration, LLC, as Admin Support Manager and later became the company’s HR Manager. In 2023, she moved to FLEET Response—Dayspring’s partner company—as HR Business Partner. As a member of the company’s Senior Leadership Team, she oversaw 260 employees in 12 different offices across the Western United States and managed all aspects of Human Resources.

Laura joined Laird Cowley in 2024 as the Operations Director. Laura leverages her strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to oversee daily operations, make strategic decisions, supervise staff, evaluate and refine business procedures, and manage procurement processes, ensuring the firm’s core functions align seamlessly with its broader objectives.

Throughout her career, Laura has consistently demonstrated an aptitude for streamlining processes, mentoring teams, and implementing cost-effective solutions. She promotes open communication and works hard to create a supportive environment, enabling Laird Cowley’s staff to grow professionally while contributing to the firm’s collective success.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Laura is deeply committed to community service and hands-on projects. She has volunteered with organizations focused on childhood nutrition and child advocacy, reflecting her passion for giving back. Laura and her husband, married for 30 years, enjoy working together on home construction and renovation projects. A proud mother of two sons, she also has a strong athletic background, having played softball for over 30 years before shifting her focus to axe throwing and cornhole. An avid Griz fan, Laura has been a season ticket holder for more than 20 years. She loves spending summers at Flathead Lake with family and friends and visits Belize a couple of times each year.
