Riley is an accomplished Associate Attorney with an impressive and diverse professional background. While his work is primarily focused on commercial litigation, he is well-versed in a variety of areas including construction litigation, civil rights litigation, ADA disputes, employment law and business matters, personal injury, and professional negligence.

Riley’s hard work and dedication have allowed him to achieve success throughout his growing legal career. During law school, he was elected Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Law Review and served as a clinical intern for the Montana Innocence Project. As an associate attorney at Laird Cowley, he works to guide his clients through complex decisions and help them navigate difficult life circumstances. He is passionate about helping others and making a difference in his community.

Professional Background & Experience

Riley is a Montana native and was born and raised in Great Falls. Inheriting an exceptional work ethic, he spent the summers of his youth stocking beer, wine, and soda in stores across the Hi Line.

After graduating high school, he spent four years in Bozeman and obtained a degree in political science and sociology with high honors from Montana State University.

Afterwards, he moved to Missoula to pursue a law degree. Once again, he graduated with high honors and, afterwards, spent two years clerking for the Honorable Dana L. Christensen.

Hobbies & Interests

When he is not at the office, Riley loves to backpack, hike, camp, read, and watch sports.
