Paralegal

Kayla Grimes is a dedicated paralegal on the Laird Cowley team. Leveraging over 10 years of experience in business management and customer service, Kayla works to support our attorneys in day-to-day operations through dedicated case file management, legal research, and clerical tasks. She is well-versed in various aspects of law including business law, employment law, commercial litigation, and beyond.

Kayla’s career as a paralegal started in 2021 when she began attending online courses at the National Paralegal College. In 2023, she graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. Before transitioning to the legal industry, she spent years cultivating her skills as a business professional, working in leadership roles at both the local and corporate levels.

Kayla’s attention to detail, interpersonal skills, time management, and organizational abilities allow her to continually adapt to the needs of a dynamic work environment and conduct her paralegal duties with exceptional aptitude. She works with skill and dedication to support Laird Cowley’s clients and attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings. She is adept in drafting legal documents, conducting detailed analysis, and compiling reports and summaries, and also acts as a liaison among parties for scheduling interviews and sharing information.

Outside of the office, Kayla enjoys partaking in the numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation that her community has to offer. Her favorite activities include hiking Missoula’s stunning scenic trails, floating the Clark Fork in the summer, going to Griz games in the fall, and snowboarding at Discovery and Lost Trail in the winter. She also enjoys relaxing at home with her cats, spending time with family, and doting on her beloved nephew.
